Isaac Sumary

FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Fruitful Orphanage was founded by Isaac John Sumary, whose early life was filled with hardship. Abandoned at birth, Isaac worked at an HIV/AIDS center in his youth, where volunteers helped him study Hotel Management.

After graduation, he found a job near Ngorongoro and began saving his earnings to help orphaned children. His dedication led to the creation of Fruitful Orphanage — a safe, nurturing home for children in need.

We believe that every child deserves a happy, productive life regardless of their background. It is all of our responsibility to lift up underprivileged children.

Fruitful Orphanage provides residential and daycare services, meals, and education for 190 children. Many of the children come from backgrounds of poverty, abandonment, and neglect. At Fruitful Orphanage, they find a safe and supportive environment that fosters their growth and development.

A Home and Learning Campus

Established in January 2022, Shine Pre & Primary English Medium School is an important education milestone for Fruitful Orphanage. It provides quality education to children from poor families, orphans, and those experiencing homelessness who otherwise would be unable to attend school. The school offers affordable fees and delivers lessons for all grades in English.

Program, Plans, Partnerships

  • Volunteers

Volunteers from all over the world schedule stays on-site to help care for the children and support school staff.

  • Expansion

After finishing the primary school project, the dream is to add a library, communal residential buildings, and a vocational skills training facility. Older buildings also require renovation.

  • Farming

A farming project is an important step in the sustainability of Fruitful Orphanage. A variety of crops help supply the center with fresh food. A portion of the produce is sold to the public, and the funds raised help maintain and run the center.

  • Fruit and Love Safaris

Fruitful Orphanage partners with Fruit and Love Safaris to offer discounted tours of Tanzanian national Parks and tourist attractions. Ten percent of the ticket cost supports Fruitful Orphanage.

Your gift supports monthly needs for the children, teacher and team salaries, ongoing and future building projects.
